England's 163 was their sixth highest score against Sri Lanka in T20 international and It is their third highest total against Sri Lanka in T20 World Cups. 112 : Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for England against Sri Lanka in T20 international, previously held by the 74-run stand between these same pair at Delhi in the 2016 World Twenty20, It is the England's joint highest fourth-wicket stand in T20Is, jointly 112-run stand held by between Kevin Pietersen and Eoin Morgan at Dubai in 2010 and the second highest fourth-wicket partnership in T20 World Cups. 43 : Eoin Morgan became the most number of wins by a captain in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 42-wins by former Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan.

Sri Lanka scored 137 for all-out in 19 overs with top scorer by Wanindu Hasaranga hammered a 34 off 16-balls including 3-fours and a six with strike rate of 161.90.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa blasted a 26 off 18-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 144.44, Dasun Shanaka scored 26 off 25-balls included 2-fours & a six and Charith Asalanka cracked a 21 off 16-balls including 3-fours & a six.

England best bowler by Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Chris Jordan each took 2-wickets and one for Chris Woakes - Liam Livingstone.

Jos Buttler named Player of the match for hia career-best blazing unbeaten 101-runs knocked off facing 67-balls including 6-sixes and 6-fours with strike rate of 150.74.
