England scored 190 for all-out in 39.4 overs with top scorer by John Edrich - who struck 82 off 119-balls on his debut ODI match, Keith Fletcher 24, Alan Knott 24 and Basil D'Oliveira 17.

Australia best bowler by Ashley Mallett picked up 3-wickets for 34-runs in 8-overs including a maiden, Keith Stackpole takes 3-wickets for 40-runs in 8-overs, Graham McKenzie took 2-wickets and one for Alan Thompson.

Australia chased 191-5 in 34.6 overs with top scorer by Ian Chappell - who cracked a 60 off 103-balls on his debut ODI match.

Doug Walters struck 41 off 51-balls including 6-fours, Bill Lawry 27 and Greg Chappell 22 not out.

England best bowler by Ray Illingworth picked up 3-wickets and one for Ken Shuttleworth - Basil D'Oliveira.
