West Indies scored 223-9 in 32 overs - match reduced 55 to 32-overs per side - due to torrential rain - with top scorer by Clive Lloyd hammered a 79 off 59-balls including 7-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 133.89.

Lawrence Rowe struck 45 off 42-balls including 5-fours, Gordon Greenidge scored 42 off 41-balls included 4-fours & a six and Deryck Murray 27.

England best bowler by Mike Hendrick, John Lever both took 2-wickets, Derek Underwood, Ian Botham and Tony Greig each took one-wickets.

England scored 173 for all-out in 31.4 overs with top scorer by Dennis Amiss 47 off 54-balls - who fell three-run short of his half-century - including 7-fours.

Derek Randall blasted a 39 off 29-balls including 8-fours with strike rate of 134.48, Barry Wood scored 34 off 49-balls included 5-fours and Ian Botham 20.

West Indies best bowler by Vanburn Holder claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 50-runs in 10-overs, Roy Fredericks takes 2-wickets for 10-runs in 10-overs, Bernard Julien took 2-wickets and one for Viv Richards.

Clive Lloyd named Player of the match for his hard-hitting 79 off 59-balls.

The difference between the sides was emphasized by the final distribution of prize money. The West Indies players shared £5,150 while England's 14 strong teammates had to be content with £200 between them, Viv Richards player of the series for West Indies and the sum earned by Derek Randall awarded as the home team's man of the series.
