Yuzvendra Chahal's brilliant four-for and Washington Sundar's impressive three-for before Rohit Sharma's quick-fire half-century, An unbeaten 62-run stand between Suryakumar Yadav and Debutant Deepak Chahar helped to India comfortable six-wicket victory over West Indies and take a 1-0 lead in a historic match of the first ODI.

India's 132-balls spare win was their second largest victory by terms of balls remaining against West Indies in One-day internationals. India became the first team to play 1000 ODIs in cricket history. West Indies lost their top five batsmen wickets for just 71-runs - which was their fifth worst first five-wicket collapse against India in Indian soil in One-day internationals. 78 : Jason Holder and Fabian Allen set up the joint second highest eighth-wicket partnership for West Indies against India in One-day international and West Indies' joint third highest eighth-wicket stand in ODIs, jointly 88-run stand held by between Carlton Baugh and Andre Russell at North Sound in 2011. West Indies' 176 was their ninth lowest score against India in Indian soil in One-day internationals. Yuzvendra Chahal became the 23rd Indian player to took 100 ODI wickets. 62* : Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda set up the fifth highest fifth-wicket partnership for India against West Indies at their home venue in One-day internationals. 84 : Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan set up the tenth highest first-wicket partnership for India against West Indies at their home venue in One-day internationals.

West Indies scored 176 for all-out in 43.5 overs with top scorer by Jason Holder struck 57 off 71-balls including 4-sixes, Fabian Allen 29, Darren Bravo 18 and Nicholas Pooran 18.

India best bowler by Yuzvendra Chahal 4-49, Washington Sundar picked up 3-wickets for 30-runs in 9-overs including a maiden, Prasidh Krishna took 2-wickets and one for Mohammed Siraj.

India chased 178-4 in 28 overs with top scorer by Rohit Sharma struck 60 off 51-balls including 10-fours & a six with strike rate of 117.64.

Suryakumar Yadav cracked a unbeaten 34 off 36-balls including 5-fours, Ishan Kishan hit 28 off 36-balls included 2-fours & a six and Debutant Deepak Hooda - who scored 26 off 32-balls on his debut ODI match - including two boundaries.

West Indies best bowler by Alzarri Joseph took 2-wickets and one for Akeal Hosein.

Yuzvendra Chahal named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to claimed a 4-wickets for 49-runs in 9.5-overs.
