  • 148 : Richie Richardson and Greg Chappell set up the record second-wicket partnership for Australia in One-day international, previously held by the 136-run stand between Keith Stackpole and Ian Chappell against New Zealand at Dunedin in 1974, It is the second highest second-wicket partnership in ODIs and also the Australia's second highest any-wicket stand in ODIs.

England scored 242 for all-out in 54.2 overs with top scorer by Dennis Amiss 108 off 146-balls - which was his 4th ODI hundred & his second century against Australia in ODIs - including 7-fours.
