Debutant pace bowler Blair Tickner's debut four-for before An unbeaten maiden century from Will Young and Matt Henry's well-made half-century helped to New Zealand comfortable seven-wicket victory over Netherlands and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.
* This is the only the second ODI match played between New Zealand and Netherlands, Last time these two teams met in a limited overs contest was back in 1996 Wills World Cup at Vadodara.
Netherlands scored 202 for all-out in 49.4 overs with top scorer by Michael Rippon struck 67 off 97-balls including 4-fours & a six.
Pieter Seelar hit 43 off 75-balls including 3-fours, Debutant Vikramjit Singh - who scored 19 off 21-balls on his debut ODI match - included 4-fours and Philippe Boissevain 15.
New Zealand best bowler by Debutant Blair Tickner - who took 4-wickets for 50-runs in 10-overs on his debut ODI match.
Kyle Jamieson picked up 3-wickets, Debutant Michael Bracewell - who took one-wicket on his debut ODI match, Colin de Grandhomme and Matt Henry both took one-wickets.
New Zealand chased 204-3 in 38.3 overs with top scorer by Will Young 103 not out off 114-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred.
Henry Nicholls hit 57 off 79-balls including 3-fours & a six and Ross Taylor 11.
Netherlands best bowler by Michael Rippon took 2-wickets and one for Logan van Beek.
Will Young named Player of the match for his match-winning career-best unbeaten 103-runs knocked off facing 114-balls including 8-fours and 3-sixes.
