A power-packed half-centuries from Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone before Bowlers delivered to Punjab Kings thumping 54-run victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore and keep their play-off hopes alive in a one-sided game of the 60th match of a Indian Premier League.

Punjab Kings' 54-run win was their joint sixth largest victory by terms of runs in Indian Premier League and It is their third biggest win against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. 23 : Wanindu Hasaranga equalled a joint leading wicket-taker in this season,. jointly with Yuzvendra Chahal. Jonny Bairstow equalled a 21-ball joint sixth fastest fifty for Punjab Kings in Indian Premier League, jointly with Glenn Maxwell and Liam Livingstone and the fastest fifty by an PBKS batsman against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL, surpassing the previous record of 23-ball half-century held by David Miller at Bengaluru in 2014. Punjab Kings' 209 was their tenth highest score in Indian Premier League and It is their second highest total against RCB in IPL. Harshal Patel's 4 for 34 was his third best bowling performance for Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League and the fifth best bowling figures by an RCB bowler against Punjab Kings in IPL. Royal Challengers Bangalore' 155 was their joint lowest total at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in IPL, jointly their 155 against Mumbai Indians in 2010.

PBKS scored 209-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Liam Livingstone hammered a 70 off 42-balls including 5-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 166.66.

Jonny Bairstow blasted a 66 off 29-balls, Shikhar Dhawan 21 and Mayank Agarwal 19.

RCB best bowler by Harshal Patel claimed a 4-wickets for 34-runs in 4-overs, Wanindu Hasaranga took 2-wickets and one for Glenn Maxwell - Shahbaz Ahmed.

RCB scored 155-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by  Glenn Maxwell hammered a 35 off 22-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 159.09, Rajat Patidar 26 and Virat Kohli 20.

PBKS best bowler by Kagiso Rabada picked up 3-wickets for 21-runs in 4-overs, Rishi Dhawan, Rahul Chahar both took 2-wickets and one for Arshdeep Singh - Harpreet Brar.

Jonny Bairstow named Player of the match for his power-hitting batting display to smashed a 66-runs knocked off facing 29-balls including 7-sixes & 4-fours with strike rate of 227.58.
