A record-breaking maiden T20I half-century from Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya's quick-fire 46 before Avesh Khan's four-for, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel's combined three-wickets helped to India's record 82-run victory over South Africa and level the series with 2-2 in a one-sided game of the fourth T20I.

India's 82-run win was their fifth largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international and It is their biggest win against South Africa in T20Is, previous biggest win by 48-runs at Visakhapatnam in this series' third T20I. South Africa's 82-run defeat was their fifth worst by margin of runs in T20s. 37 year 16 days : Dinesh Karthik became the oldest player to score a maiden fifty in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of MS Dhoni's 35 year 209 days. Dinesh Karthik hammered a 26-ball fastest fifty by an Indian batsman against South Africa in T20 internationals, surpassing the previous record of 27-ball half-century jointly held by Shikhar Dhawan at Johannesburg in 2018 and MS Dhoni at Centurion in 2018. India's 169 was their ninth highest score against South Africa in T20 internationals. South Africa's 87 was their lowest score in T20 internationals, previous lowest was 89 against Australia at Johannesburg in 2020. Avesh Khan's 4 for 18 was his best bowling performance for India in T20 international and the fourth best bowling figures by an Indian bowler against South Africa in T20Is. 65 : Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik set up the third highest fifth-wicket partnership for India against South Africa in T20 internationals.

India scored 169-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Dinesh Karthik hammered a career-best 55 off 27-balls.

Hardik Pandya blasted a 46 off 31-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 148.38, Ishan Kishan scored 27 off 26-balls included 3-fours & a six and Rishabh Pant 17.

South Africa best bowler by Lungi Ngidi takes 2-wickets, Anrich Nortje, Keshav Maharaj, Marco Jansen and Dwaine Pretorius each took one-wickets.

South Africa scored 87 for all-out in 16.5 overs with top scorer by Rassie van der Dussen scored a run-a-ball a 20-runs, Quinton de Kock 14 and Marco Jansen 12.

India best bowler by Avesh Khan claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 18-runs in 4-overs, Yuzvendra Chahal took 2-wickets and one for Harshal Patel - Axar Patel.

Dinesh Karthik named Player of the match for his career-best batting performance to smashed a career-best 55-runs knocked off facing 27-balls Including 9-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 203.70.
