Obed McCoy became the first West Indies bowler to claimed a 6-wicket haul in T20 international cricket history. Obed McCoy's 6 for 17 was the best bowling figures by any bowler against India in T20 internationals, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 9 held by Wanindu Hasaranga at Colombo (RPS) in the last year. This is the third time Rohit Sharma fall for a first-ball duck as opener in T20Is. Rohit Sharma became the first Indian opener to fall for a first-ball duck against West Indies T20 internationals.

India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin each took one-wickets.
