Rain washed out the Ireland chase after Wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim's fifty on his 36th Birthday and Najmul Hossain Shanto's 44 helped to Bangladesh scored 246 in the first One-day international at Chelmsford.
* This is the second One-day international match played at Country Ground, Chelmsford after England and India ODI match played in 1983.
Ireland scored 246-9 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mushfiqur Rahim hit 61 off 70-balls on his 36th Birthday in a front of 3000 plus crowd - including six boundaries.
Najmul Hossain Shanto struck 44 off 66-balls including 7-fours, Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 27 off 34-balls included 4-fours.
Towhid Hridoy hit 27 off 31-balls including two boundaries, Shakib Al Hasan cracked a 20 off 21-balls included 4-fours and Shoriful Islam 16.
Ireland best bowler by Josh Little picked up 3-wickets, Graham Hume, Mark Adair both took 2-wickets and one for George Dockrell - Curtis Campher.
Ireland scored 65-3 in 16.3 overs when rain stopped the play - with top scorer by Harry Tector hit a unbeaten 21 off 37-balls including 3-fours.
Stephen Doheny scored 17 off consuming 39-balls including two boundaries and Paul Stirling hit 15 off 10-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 150
Bangladesh best bowler by Taijul Islam, Hasan Mahmud and Shoriful Islam each took one-wickets.
