Will Young, Tom Latham's fifties and Mark Chapman's quick-fire 43 before Three-wicket hauls from Henry Shipley and Rachin Ravindra helped to New Zealand consolation 47-run victory over Pakistan, despite a fighting knock from Iftikhar Ahmed's 72-ball 94 and avoid the series whitewash in the fifth ODI.

  • New Zealand's 47-run win was their second largest victory by terms of runs against Pakistan in Pakistan soil in ODIs after their 79-run victory at same venue earlier in this year.
  • New Zealand's 299 was their joint eighth highest score against Pakistan in One-day internationals.

New Zealand scored 299 for all-out in 49.3 overs with top scorer by Will Young cracked a 87 off 91-balls including 8-fours & 2-sixes.

Tom Latham struck 59 off 58-balls including 5-fours, Mark Chapman blasted a 43 off 33-balls included 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 130.30.

Rachin Ravindra hit 28 off 20-balls including 4-fours with strike rate of 140, Cole McConchie scored 26 off 25-balls included 2-fours & a six.

Henry Nicholls scored 23 off 30-balls including two boundaries and Tom Blundell 15.

Pakistan best bowler by Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up 3-wickets, Usama Mir, Shadab Khan both took 2-wickets and one for Mohammad Wasim - Haris Rauf.

Pakistan scored 252 for all-out in 46.1 overs with top scorer by Iftikhar Ahmed hammered a unbeaten 94 off 72-balls including 8-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 130.55.

Agha Salman cracked a run-a-ball 57-runs including 6-fours & a six, Fakhar Zaman scored 33 off consuming 64-balls included 5-fours and Usama Mir hit 20 off 15-balls including one-six & a four.

New Zealand best bowler by Henry Shipley 3-34, Rachin Ravindra picked up 3-wickets, Adam Milne, Matt Henry and Ish Sodhi each took one-wickets.

Henry Shipley named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to picked up 3-wickets for 34-runs in 9-overs including a maiden.
