Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis' fifties, Dhananjaya de Silva's all-round display and Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmanth Chameera's combined 5-wickets helped to Sri Lanka's record 132-run victory over Afghanistan and level the series with 1-1 in a one-sided game of the second ODI.

  • Sri Lanka's 132-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs against Afghanistan in One-day internationals, previous biggest win by 129 at Mirpur in the 2014 Asia Cup.
  • Sri Lanka's 323 was their highest score against Afghanistan in One-day international, previous highest was 314 at Pallekelle in the last year and It is their fourth highest total at Hambantota in ODIs.
  • Afghanistan's 191 was their third lowest score against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Sri Lanka scored 323-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Kusal Mendis cracked a 78 off 75-balls including 7-fours & a six.

Dimuth Karunaratne scored 52 off 62-balls including 7-fours, Sadeera Samarawickrama struck 44 off 46-balls included 5-fours.

Pathum Nissanka scored 43 off 56-balls including 6-fours, Wanindu Hasaranga hammered a unbeaten 29 off 12-balls included 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 241.66.

Dhananjaya de Silva scored a unbeaten 29 off 24-balls including one-six & a four and Dasun Shanaka hit 23 off 19-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 176.92.

Afghanistan best bowler by Mohammad Nabi, Fareed Ahmad both took 2-wickets and one for Mujeeb Ur Rahman - Noor Ahmad.

Afghanistan scored 191 for all-out in 42.1 overs with top scorer by Hashmatullah Shahidi struck 57 off 62-balls including 6-fours.

Ibrahim Zadran scored 54 off 75-balls including 2-sixes & 2-sixes, Rahmat Shah scored 36 off 42-balls included 3-fours and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 28 off 31-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Dhananjaya de Silva picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs in 10-overs, Wanindu Hasaranga strikes 3-wickets for 42-runs in 9-overs included two maidens, Dushmanth Chameera took 2-wickets and one for Dasun Shanaka - Maheesh Theekshana.

Dhananjaya de Silva named Player of the match for his all-round performance to picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs in 10-overs after scoring a unbeaten 29 off 24-balls included one-six & a four.
