Ravi Shastri scored 30 off 56-balls including a boundary, Yashpal Sharma hit 23 off 26-balls included 3-fours and Dilip Vengsarkar 18 not out.
West Indies best bowler by Malcolm Marshall, debutant Winston Davis, Viv Richards and Andy Roberts each took one-wickets.
West Indies scored 255-9 in 47 overs with top scorer by Viv Richards blasted a 64 off 51-balls including 11-fours & a six with strike rate of 125.49.
Jeff Dujon cracked a unbeaten 53 off 64-balls including 3-fours & a six, Faoud Bacchus hit 52 off 65-balls included 3-fours & a six, Larry Gomes 26 and Gordon Greenidge 16.
India best bowler by Ravi Shastri picked up 3-wickets, Kapil Dev, Balwinder Sandhu and Madan Lal each took one-wickets.
Kapil Dev named Player of the match for his all-round performance to took two wickets for 33-runs in 10-overs after smashing a power-hitting batting performance to scored 72 off 38-balls including 7-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 189.47.
