* India was the only team in the triangular tournament to win both its games - against Sri Lanka by 10-wickets in the second match - and also provided the man of the series to Surinder Khanna - The next Asia Cup will be played in Sri Lanka in 1986.
India scored 188-4 in the alloted 46 overs with top scorer by Surinder Khanna cracked a career-best 56 off 72-balls.
Sandeep Patil struck 43 off 50-balls including 5-fours & a six, Sunil Gavaskar scored a unbeaten 36 off 55-balls included 2-fours and Ghulam Parkar 22.
Pakistan best bowler by Shahid Mahboob, Mudassar Nazar and Sarfraz Nawaz each took one-wickets.
Pakistan scored 134 for all-out in 39.4 overs with top scorer by Mohsin Khan hit 35 off 65-balls including a boundary.
Zaheer Abbas scored 27 off 45-balls including a boundary, Mudassar Nazar 18, Qasim Umar 16 and Saleem Malik 15.
India best bowler by Roger Binny picked up 3-wickets for 33-runs in 9.4-overs and Ravi Shastri took 3-wickets for 40-runs in 10-overs.
