England scored 186-8 in the alloted 55 overs with top scorer by Derek Pringle cracked a 39 off 55-balls including 2-fours & a six.
Graham Gooch scored 32 off consuming 95-balls including three boundaries, Paul Downton hit 30 off 47-balls included 2-fours, Mike Gatting 18 and Phil DeFreitas 15 not out.
West Indies best bowler by Malcolm Marshall, Phil Simmons both captured two-wickets, Debutant Ian Bishop - who took 2-wickets on his debut ODI match, Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh both took one-wickets.
West Indies bundled out for 139 in 46.3 overs with top scorer by Viv Richards blasted a 31 off 29-balls including 6-fours.
Curtly Ambrose scored 23 off consuming 67-balls including a boundary, Gordon Greenidge hit 21 off 54-balls included 3-fours and Courtney Walsh 18.
England best bowler by Derek Pringle picked up 3-wickets, Gladstone Small strikes two-wickets for 11-runs in 9-overs including two maidens with economy rate of 1.22.
Graham Dilley captured two-wickets, John Emburey, Graham Gooch and Phil DeFreitas each took one-wickets.
Derek Pringle named Player of the match for his all-round performance to picked up 3-wickets for 30-runs in 11-overs after scoring a valuable 39 off 55-balls including 2-fours & a six.
