West Indies chased 166-2 in 42.1 overs with top scorer by Desmond Haynes hit 64 off 100-balls including 7-fours.
Richie Richardson scored a unbeaten 58 off 110-balls including 5-fours and Jeff Dujon hit a unbeaten 20 off 25-balls included 3-fours.
India best bowler by Kapil Dev took 2-wickets for 31-runs in 8-overs.
Viv Richards named Player of the match for his excellent fielding display to took three catches.
