Jamie Atkinson and Babar Hayat's quick-fire unbeaten half-centuries powers to Hong Kong emphatic seven-wicket victory over Japan, despite a captain Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming's 78 in the second match of a East Asia Cup.
Japan scored 179-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming cracked a 78 off 53-balls including 6-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 147.16.
Declan Suzuki hammered a unbeaten 45 off 23-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 195.65 and Ibrahim Takahashi hit a unbeaten 20 off 11-balls included a six with strike-rate of 181.81.
Hong Kong best bowler by Aizaz Khan strikes two-wickets, Yasim Murtaza, Ehsan Khan and Haroon Arshad each took one-wickets.
Hong Kong chased 184-3 in 16.1 overs with top scorer by Jamie Atkinson hammered a unbeaten 68 off 36-balls, Babar Hayat blasted a unbeaten 52 off 30-balls including 5-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 173.33.
Martin Coetzee cracked a 35 off 18-balls included 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 194.44 and Anshy Rath hit 19 off 11-balls contained four-fours.
Japan best bowler by Declan Suzuki and Reo Sakurano-Thomas both took one-wickets.
Jamie Atkinson named Player of the match for his match-winning quick-fire unbeaten 68 off 36-balls including 8-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 188.88.
