Bowlers shine before A 56-run stand between openers Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tanush Kotian and Shimron Hetmyer's power-hitting 10-ball 27* helped to Rajasthan Royals thrilling three-wicket victory over Punjab Kings in a see-saw game of the 27th match of a Indian Premier League.

Match Stats : 
  • Rajasthan Royals chased 148 was their third lowest successful run-chase against Punjab Kings in IPL.
  • Punjab Kings' 147 was their eighth lowest score in a completed innings against Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League and It is their lowest-score at Mullanpur in IPL, previously they have scored 180 against Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier in this season.
  • 56 : Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tanush Kotian set up the seventh highest first-wicket partnership for Rajasthan Royals against Punjab Kings in IPL.

When Rajasthan Royals needed 10 off the last over of the match, Arshdeep Singh bowled two perfect yorkers that two dots balls faced by Shimron Hetmyer.

Now Rajasthan Royals needed 10 off 4-balls, Arshdeep Singh misses the length on the third tried yorker, and Shimron Hetmyer gets under it to club it into the boundary cushion to the six.

Fourth ball, Shimron Hetmyer hit towards long on, and Sam Curran - who has bowled superbly tonight - fumbles the ball, allowing a comfortable two runs.

Then fifth ball, two runs needed for Rajasthan Royals to win, Arshdeep Singh delivers the worst ball of the over - a knee-high full toss on the stumps that Shimron Hetmyer gleefully smashed over the fine leg boundary.

It was heroic from Arshdeep Singh, but he couldn't quite close it out. Shimron Hetmyer and Rajasthan Royals are ecstatic. This is the fifth win out of six matches for them. And their second thrilling finish in a row - this time they've successfully won.



PBKS scored 147-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Ashutosh Sharma blasted a 31 off 16-balls including 3-sixes & a four with strike rate of 193.75.

Jitesh Sharma hit 29 off 24-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 120.83, Liam Livingstone blasted a 21 off 14-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 150, Atharva Taide and Jonny Bairstow each scored 15-runs.

RR best bowler by Keshav Maharaj, Avesh Khan both took 2-wickets, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Sen each took one-wickets.

RR chased 152-7 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Yashasvi Jaiswal cracked a 39 off 28-balls including 4-fours with strike rate of 139.28.

Shimron Hetmyer hammered a unbeaten 27 off 10-balls, Tanush Kotian hit 24 off 31-balls included 3-fours, Riyan Parag hit 23 off 18-balls including one-six & a four.

Sanju Samson scored 18 off 14-balls included 1-sixe & a boundary and Rovman Powell hit 11 off 5-balls contained 2-fours with strike rate of 220.

PBKS best bowler by Kagiso Rabada, Sam Curran both took 2-wickets, Liam Livingstone, Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh each took one-wickets.

Shimron Hetmyer named Player of the match for his match-winning power-hitting batting performance to smashed a unbeaten 27 off 10-balls including 3-sixes & a four with strike rate of 270.
