Matheesha Pathirana's 4 for 40 was his second best bowling performance for Sri Lanka in T20 international and the second best-bowling-figures by an Indian bowler against Sri Lanka in T20Is after Wanindu Hasaranga's 4 for 9 at Colombo (RPS) in 2021. 84 : Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis set up the second highest first-wicket partnership for Sri Lanka against India in T20 international, The highest is 97-run stand between these same pair at Dubai (DICS) in the 2022 T20 World Cup. Sri Lanka's 170 was their joint ninth highest score against India in T20 internationals. Sri Lanka lost their last nine wickets for just 30-runs - which was their second worst seven-wicket collapse in T20 international and it is their worst 9-wicket collapse against India in T20Is. Sri Lanka scored 170 for all-out in 19.2 overs with top scorer by Pathum Nissanka hammered a 79 off 48-balls including 7-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 164.58.

Kusal Mendis blasted a 45 off 27-balls including 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 166.66, Kusal Perera hit 20 off 14-balls included 3-fours and Kamindu Mendis scored 12 off 8-balls contained two boundaries.

India best bowler by Riyan Parag picked up 3-wickets for 5-runs in 1.2-overs with economy rate of 3.75, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel both took 2-wickets and one for Mohammed Siraj - Ravi Bishnoi.

Suryakumar Yadav named Player of the match for his whirlwind batting performance to smashed a 58 off facing 26-balls including 8-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 223.07.
