Day 1 : 
* Persistent rain allowed no play, not even the toss, on the opening day of the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh at Rawalpindi. The umpires had an inspection at noon, even though the rain had not stopped, and called it off for the day. The chances of play were so bleak that the teams had not even left their hotel.

* There is a forecast for more rain later in the day; it is expected to be overcast for much of tomorrow as well. On Thursday, too, the teams had to cancel their practice sessions because of rain.

1st Innings Bangladesh best bowler by Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed a 5-wickets for 61-runs in 22.1-overs including two maidens, Taskin Ahmed picked up 3-wickets and one for Shakib Al Hasan - Nahid Rana.

Bangladesh 1st Innings scored 262 for all-out in 78.4 overs with top scorer by Litton Das blasted a 138 off 228-balls - which was his 4th Test hundred and his second century against Pakistan in Tests - including 13-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 60.52.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz hammered a 78 off 124-balls including 12-fours & a six with strike rate of 62.90 and Hasan Mahmud scored a unbeaten 13 off 51-balls included a boundary.

1st Innings Pakistan best bowler by Khurram Shahzad claimed a career-best 6-wicket haul for 90-runs in 21-overs including three maidens, Salman Agha captured two-wickets for 13-runs in 3.4-overs and Mir Hamza took 2-wickets.

Pakistan 2nd Innings scored 172 for all-out in 46.4 overs with top scorer by Salman Agha hit a unbeaten 47 off 71-balls including 6-fours & a six.

Mohammad Rizwan cracked a 43 off 73-balls including 5-fours, Shan Masood struck 28 off 34-balls included 4-fours and Saim Ayub scored 20 off 35-balls contained 3-fours.

2nd Innings Bangladesh best bowler by Hasan Mahmud claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 43-runs in 10.4-overs including a maiden.

Nahid Rana picked up 4-wickets for 44-runs in 11-overs included a maiden and Taskin Ahmed took one-wicket.

Bangladesh chased 185-4 in 56 overs with top scorer by Zakir Hasan hammered a 40 off 39-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 102.56.

Najmul Hossain Shanto cracked a 38 off 82-balls including 5-fours, Mominul Haque hit 34 off 71-balls included 4-fours.

Shadman Islam cracked a 24 off 51-balls including 2-fours, Mushfiqur Rahim scored a unbeaten 22 off 51-balls included a boundary and Shakib Al Hasan hit a unbeaten 21 off 43-balls contained one-six & a four.

2nd Innings Pakistan best bowler by Salman Agha, Khurram Shahzad, Abrar Ahmed and Mir Hamza each took one-wickets.

Litton Das named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a 138 off 228-balls including 13-fours and 4-sixes.
