Travis Head's scintillating career-best 154* and Marnus Labuschagne's superb unbeaten 77 leads to Australia emphatic seven-wicket victory over England and take a 1-0 lead in a high-scoring game of the first ODI.

  • Australia chased 316 was their second highest successful run-chase against England in ODIs after they have chased 334 at Sydney in 2011.
  • Harry Brook captained England for the first time in his 16th match. He became the 37th player to captain for England in a ODI.
  • England's 315 was their sixth highest score against Australia in One-day international and It is their ninth highest total at Trent Bridge in ODIs.
  • 120 : Ben Duckett and Will Jacks equalled a joint sixth highest second-wicket partnership for England against Australia in One-day internationals, jointly unbeaten 120-run stand held by between Marcus Trescothick and Michael Vaughan at Leeds in 2005.
  • Travis Head's unbeaten 154 was his highest score for Australia in One-day international and the second highest-score by an Australian batsman against England in ODIs after Shane Watson's unbeaten 161 at Melbourne in 2011.
  • Travis Head's unbeaten 154 was the second highest-score by an Australian batsman in England soil in ODIs after David Warner's 166 against Bangladesh at same venue in the 2019 World Cup.
  • 20 : Travis Head hit the third most fours in an innings by an Australian batsman in One-day international after David Warner (24) and Glenn Maxwell (21) and the most-fours hit by an Australian batsman against England in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of 18-fours hit by David Warner at Sydney in 2015.
  • 148* : Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne set up the sixth highest fourth-wicket partnership for Australia against England in ODIs.

England scored 315 for all-out in 49.4 overs with top scorer by Ben Duckett struck 95 off 91-balls - who fell five-run short of his century - including 11-fours with strike rate of 104.39.

Will Jacks blasted a 62 off 56-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 110.71, Harry Brook hammered a 39 off 31-balls included 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 125.80.

Debutant Jacob Bethell - who scored 35 off 34-balls on his debut ODI match - including 3-fours & a six, Jamie Smith struck 23 off 19-balls included 2-fours & a six and Phil Salt scored 17 off 24-balls contained two boundaries.

Australia best bowler by Marnus Labuschagne picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs in 6-overs, Adam Zampa captured three-wickets for 49-runs in 10-overs, Travis Head took 2-wickets.

Debutant Ben Dwarshuis - who took 1-wicket on his debut ODI match and Matthew Short strikes one-wicket.

Australia chased 317-3 in 44 overs with top scorer by Travis Head hammered a career-best unbeaten 154 off 129-balls - which was his 6th ODI hundred and his second century against England in ODIs.

Marnus Labuschagne blasted a unbeaten 77 off 61-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 126.22, Steven Smith struck 32 off 38-balls included 3-sixes and Cameron Green cracked a run-a-ball 32-runs contained 5-fours.

England best bowler by Debutant Jacob Bethell - who took one-wicket on his debut ODI match, Liam Livingstone and Matthew Potts both took one-wickets.

Travis Head named Player of the match for his scintillating batting performance to smashed a career-best unbeaten 154 off facing 129-balls including 20-fours and 5-sixes with strike rate of 119.37.
