  • 199 : Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandaran Ashwin set up the record seventh-wicket partnership for India against Bangladesh in Test matches, previously held by the 121-run stand between Sourav Ganguly and Sunil Joshi at Dhaka in 2000 and the India's joint seventh highest seventh-wicket stand in Tests, jointly 199-run stand held by between Cheteshwar Pujara and Wriddhiman Saha against Australia at Ranchi in 2017.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja was involved in a 199-run partnership for the seventh-wicket thus providing the ninth occasion of batsmen posting an exact 199-run stand in a Test innings. This is the second occasion of a India posting an exact 199-run stand for the seventh-wicket in an innings.
  • India's 376 was their 12th highest score against Bangladesh in Test matches and It is their joint 19th highest-score at Chennai in Tests.
  • Hasan Mahmud's 5 for 83 was his second best bowling performance for Bangladesh in Test matches and the fifth best-bowling-figures by an Bangladesh bowler against India in Tests.
  • Hasan Mahmud became the fifth Bangladesh bowler to take a five-wicket haul against India in Tests.

* Jasprit Bumrah's four-for, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja's each 2-wickets as Bangladesh bowled out for 149 before India take a 308-run second-innings lead on a 17-wicket day two of the first Test match.

* Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant's centuries as India set the mammoth target of 515 before Ravichandran Ashwin's three-for puts India driver seat on the day three of the first Test match.

* Ravichandran Ashwin's six-for and Ravindra Jadeja's three-for as India win the match by massive 280-runs before lunch on the day four of the first Test match.



India 1st Innings scored 376 for all-out in 91.2 with top scorer by Ravichandaran Ashwin hammered a unbeaten 113 off 133-balls - which was his 6th Test hundred and his first century against Bangladesh in Tests - including 11-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 84.96.

Ravindra Jadeja blasted a unbeaten 86 off 124-balls including 10-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 69.35, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 56 off 118-balls included 9-fours

Rishabh Pant blasted a 39 off 52-balls included 6-fours with strike rate of 75, Akash Deep scored 17 off 30-balls included 4-fours and KL Rahul scored 16 off 52-balls with a boundary.

1st Innings Bangladesh best bowler by Hasan Mahmud claimed a 5-wickets for 83-runs in 22.2-overs including four maidens, Taskin Ahmed picked up 3-wickets, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Nahid Rana both took one-wickets.

Bangladesh 1st Innings scored 149 for all-out in 47.1 overs with top scorer by Shakib Al Hasan cracked a 32 off 64-balls including 5-fours.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit a unbeaten 27 off 52-balls including 2-fours & a six, Litton Das scored 22 off 42-balls contained three boundaries.

Najmul Hossain Shanto hit 20 off 30-balls including 3-fours, Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed each scored 11-runs.

1st Innings India best bowler by Jasprit Bumrah claimed a 4-wickets for 50-runs in 11-overs including a maiden, Ravindra Jadeja, Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj each took 2-wickets.

India 2nd Innings scored 287-4 for declared in 64 overs with top scorer by Shubman Gill cracked a unbeaten 119 off 176-balls - which was his 5th Test hundred and his second century against Bangladesh in Tests - including 10-fours & 4-sixes.

Rishabh Pant hammered a 109 off 128-balls - which was his 6th Test hundred and his first century against Bangladesh in Tests - including 13-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 85.15.

KL Rahul hit a unbeaten 22 off 19-balls contained 4-fours and Virat Kohli scored 17 off 37-balls included two boundaries.

2nd Innings Bangladesh best bowler by Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 2-wickets and one for Nahid Rana - Taskin Ahmed.

Bangladesh 2nd Innings scored 234 for all-out in 62.1 overs with top scorer by Najmul Hossain Shanto hammered a 82 off 127-balls including 8-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 64.56.

Shadman Islam struck 35 off 68-balls including three boundaries, Zakir Hasan hit 33 off 47-balls included 5-fours & a six and Shakib Al Hasan scored 25 off 56-balls contained three-fours.

2nd Innings India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin claimed a 6-wickets for 88-runs in 21-overs, Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3-wickets and one for Jasprit Bumrah.

Ravichandran Ashwin named Player of the match for his all-round performance to claimed a six-wickets and score a century in an Test match.
