* Travis Head produced a brutal power-hitting, scoring the most individual runs in a powerplay and smashing a record-equalled 17-ball half-century, as Australia thumping seven-wicket victory with more than 10 overs to spare in the opening T20 international at Edinburgh.


Scotland scored 154-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by George Munsey hammered a 28 off 16-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 175.

Matthew Cross cracked a 27 off 21-balls including 3-fours with strike rate of 128.57, Richie Berrington hit 23 off 20-balls included 2-fours & a six.

Brandon McMullen scored 19 off 15-balls including 3-fours and Mark Watt hit 16 off 13-balls included a six.

Australia best bowler by Sean Abbott picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs in 4-overs, Xavier Bartlett, Adam Zampa both took 2-wickets and one for Cameron Green - Riley Meredith.

Australia chased 156-3 in 9.4 overs with top scorer by Travis Head hammered a 80 off 25-balls, Mitchell Marsh blasted a 39 off 12-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 325 and Josh Inglis hit a unbeaten 27 off 13-balls contained 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 207.69.

Scotland best bowler by Mark Watt captured 2-wickets for 13-runs in 2-overs and Brandon McMullen took one-wicket.

Travis Head named Player of the match for his brutal power-hitting batting performance to smashed a 80 off 25-balls including 12-fours & 5-sixes with strike rate of 320.
