Three-wicket hauls from Spinners Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy before A brutal power-hitting display from Hardik Pandya's 16-ball 39*, Suryakumar Yadav's 14-ball 29 and Sanju Samson's 19-ball 29 helped to India easy seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh and take a 1-0 lead in a one-sided game of the first T20I.

  • India's 49-ball spare win was their fourth largest victory by terms of balls remaining in T20 international and It is their second biggest win against Bangladesh in T20Is after their 64-ball remaining win at Hangzhou in the 2023 Asian Games Men's Cricket Competition.
  • India chased 128 was their third lowest successful run-chase against Bangladesh in T20 internationals.
  • Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium, Gwalior became the 26th Indian venue to host a T20 international match and the 215th venue in the world to host a T20I match.
  • Bangladesh's 39 for 2 was their sixth lowest powerplay total against India in T20 international (powerplay of 6-overs).
  • Bangladesh lost their top five batsmen wickets for just 57-runs - which was their second worst first five-wicket collapse against India in T20Is, Their previous worst such collapse was five for 45-runs against India at Hangzhou in the 2023 Asian Games Men's Cricket Competition.
  • Bangladesh's 127 was their third lowest score in a completed innings against India in T20 international and also It is their third worst-total in Indian soil in T20Is.
  • Arshdeep Singh's 3 for 14 was his fourth best bowling performance for India in T20 international and also the fourth best-bowling-figures by an Indian bowler against Bangladesh in T20Is.
  • India's 71 for 2 was their eighth highest powerplay total in T20 international (powerplay of 6-overs). and It is the India's highest powerplay total against Bangladesh in T20Is, previous highest was 68 for 1 at Hangzhou in the 2023 Asian Games Men's Cricket Competition.

Bangladesh bowled out for 127 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Mehidy Hasan Miraz hit a unbeaten 35 off 32-balls including 3-fours with strike rate of 109.37.

Najmul Hossain Shanto struck 27 off 25-balls including one-six & a four, Towhid Hridoy hit 12 off 8-balls included 2-fours and Taskin Ahmed scored 12 off 13-balls contained a boundary.

India best bowler by Arshdeep Singh picked up 3-wickets, Varun Chakravarthy captured three-wickets for 31-runs in 4-overs, 

Debutant Mayank Yadav - who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match, Washington Sundar and Hardik Pandya both took one-wickets.

India chased 132-3 in 11.5 overs with top scorer by Hardik Pandya hammered a unbeaten 39 off 16-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 243.75.

Suryakumar Yadav hammered a 29 off 14-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 207.14, Sanju Samson struck 29 off 19-balls included 6-fours with strike rate of 152.64.

Abhishek Sharma hit 16 off 7-balls including 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 228.57 and Debutant Nitish Kumar Reddy - who scored a unbeaten 16 off 15-balls on his debut T20I match - included a six.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman both took one-wickets

Arshdeep Singh named Player of the match for his impressive spell to picked up 3-wickets for 14-runs in 3.5-overs with economy rate of 3.65.
