  • India lost their top five batsmen wickets for just 33-runs - which was their fourth worst first five-wicket collapse against New Zealand in Test matches.
  • India's 46 was their third lowest score in Test matches and It is their worst-total against New Zealand in Tests, previous lowest was 81 at Wellington in 1976.
  • India's 46 was their lowest score ever at their home venue in Test cricket history, previous lowest was 75 against West Indies at Delhi in 1987 and the lowest total by any team in Indian soil in Test cricket history, previous lowest was 62 by New Zealand against India at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in 2021.
  • The 31.2 overs faced by India in Bengaluru Test - This is their second least overs batting in a completed Test innings against New Zealand after they have faced 27 overs against New Zealand at Mohali in 1999.
  •  5 Indian batsmen who were out without scored in their innings - This is the fourth time India's five batsmen ducks in an Innings in Test matches and the second time India's five batsmen ducks in an innings against New Zealand in Tests, Their first instance came against New Zealand at Mohali in 1999.
  • This is the 20th Instances of New Zealand pace bowlers picking up all ten wickets against India in an innings in Test matches, Three of those 20 occasions came at Bengaluru.


* Rain washed out the opening day of the first Test between India and New Zealand Test series has been called off. The persistent drizzle, with its stop-start nature, has meant that there is just not enough time for the ground to be ready today.



* A pace & bounce devastating bowling by Matt Henry's five-for and William O’Rourke's four-for as India bundled out for 46 before Devon Conway's quick-fire 91 creates New Zealand's dream day on the day two of the first Test match.



India 1st Innings scored 46 for all-out in 31.2 overs with top scorer by Rishabh Pant hit 20 off 49-balls including 2-fours.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 13 off 63-balls including a boundary and Mohammed Siraj scored a unbeaten 4 off 16-balls with a boundary.

1st Innings New Zealand best bowler by Matt Henry claimed a 5-wickets for 15-runs in 13.2-overs including three maidens with economy rate of 1.12.

William O’Rourke claimed a 4-wickets for 22-runs in 12-overs including six maidens with economy rate of 1.83 and Tim Southee took one-wicket for 8-runs in 6-overs included four maidens with economy rate of 1.33.


New Zealand 1st Innings scored 180-3 in 50 overs at Stumps - with top scorer by Devon Conway blasted a 91 off 105-balls - who fell nine-run short of his century - including 11-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 86.66.

Will Young struck 33 off 73-balls including 5-fours, Rachin Ravindra scored a unbeaten 22 off 34-balls included 2-fours, Tom Latham hit 15 off 49-balls contained three-fours and Daryl Mitchell 14 not out.

1st innings India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav each took one-wickets.
