Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 20 off 49-balls contained a boundary and Rashid Khan scored 19 off 17-balls contained 2-fours.
Australia best bowler by Ben Dwarshuis picked up 3-wickets, Adam Zampa, Spencer Johnson both took 2-wickets and one for Glenn Maxwell - Nathan Ellis.
Australia scored 109-1 in 12.5 overs at when rain stopped the play - with top scorer by Travis Head hammered a unbeaten 59 off 40-balls including 9-fours & a six with strike rate of 147.50.
Matthew Short struck 20 off 15-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 133.33 and Steve Smith scored a unbeaten 19 off 22-ball contained two boundaries.
Afghanistan best bowler by Azmatullah Omarzai took one-wicket for 43-runs in 5-overs.
