Three-wicket hauls from Ravindra Jadeja and Debutant Harshit Rana before Shubman Gill's brilliant 87, Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel's superb fifties gives India convincing four-wicket victory over England and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

India chased 249 was their 16th highest successful run-chase against England in ODIs. India's 68-balls spare win was their sixth largest victory by terms of balls remaining against England in ODIs. England's 248 was their 21st highest score against India in Indian soil in One-day international and It is their second highest total at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha, Nagpur in ODIs after their 296 against Netherlands in the 2011 World Cup. England's 248 was the fifth lowest score by any team at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Jamtha, Nagpur. 75 : Phil Salt and Ben Duckett set up the ninth highest first-wicket partnership for England against India in Indian soil in ODIs. 59 : Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethell set up the 11th highest fifth-wicket partnership for England against India in India soil in ODIs. 94 : Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer equalled a joint tenth-wicket partnership for India against England in One-day international, jointly 94-run stand held by between Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh at Leeds in 2007 and the India's sixth highest third-wicket partnership against England at their home venue in ODIs.

England bowled out for 248 in 47.4 overs with top scorer by Jos Buttler cracked a 52 off 67-balls including four boundaries.

Jacob Bethell struck 51 off 64-balls including 3-fours & a six, Phil Salt hammered a 43 off 26-balls included 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 165.38.

Ben Duckett blasted a 32 off 29-balls including 6-fours with strike rate of 110.34, Jofra Archer hit a unbeaten 21 off 18-balls included 3-fours & a six and Joe Root scored 19 off 31-balls with a boundary.

India best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3-wickets for 26-runs in 9-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.88.

Harshit Rana captured 3-wickets for 53-runs in 7-overs included a maiden, Mohammed Shami, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav each took one-wickets.

India chased 251-6 in 38.4 overs with top scorer by Shubman Gill struck 87 off 96-balls including 14-fours with strike rate of 90.62.

Shreyas Iyer hammered a 59 off 36-balls, Axar Patel blasted a 52 off 47-balls included 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 110.63.

Debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal - who scored 15 off 22-balls on his debut ODI match - including 3-fours and Ravindra Jadeja hit a unbeaten 12 off 10-balls with 2-fours.

England best bowler by Saqib Mahmood, Adil Rashid both took 2-wickets and one for Jacob Bethell - Jofra Archer.

Shubman Gill named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant 87 off 96-balls including 9-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 163.88.
