Amazing Abhishek Sharma's record-breaking 135 sets up to India massive 150-run victory over England, despite a Phil Salt's 21-ball fifty and India clinched the 5-match series with 4-1 in a one-sided game of the fifth & final T20I.

  • India's 150-run win was their second largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international after their 168-run win against New Zealand at Ahmedabad in 2023.
  • England's 150-run defeat was their worst by margin of runs in T20I cricket history, jointly their previous 90-runs worst defeat against India at Colombo (RPS) in the 2012 World Twenty20 and South Africa at Southampton in 2022.
  • India's 95 for 1 was their highest powerplay total in T20 international (powerplay of 6-overs), previous highest-powerplay was 82 for 1 against Bangladesh at Hyderabad in the last year and 82 for 2 against Scotland at Dubai in the 2021 World Twenty20 and the fourth highest powerplay total in T20Is.
  • India's 100 off just 6.3-overs - Which was their fastest team 100 in T20 internationals (where Ball-by-Ball data is available). Their previous fastest team hundred was 7.1-overs against Bangladesh at Hyderabad in the last year.

  • Abhishek Sharma hammered a 17-ball second fastest fifty for India in T20 international and also the second fastest fifty by an Indian batsman against England in T20Is after Yuvraj Singh's 12-ball half-century against England at Durban in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20.
  • Abhishek Sharma hammered a 37-ball second fastest century for India in T20 international after Rohit Sharma's 35-ball hundred against Sri Lanka at Indore in 2017 and the eighth fastest hundred in T20Is.

  • Abhishek Sharma's 135 was the second highest score by any batsman in India in T20Is after Hazratullah Zazai's unbeaten 162 against  Ireland at Dehradun in 2019.
  • 13 : Abhishek Sharma hit the most sixes hit by an Indian batsman in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 10-sixes jointly hit by Rohit Sharma's 10-sixes against Sri Lanka at Indore in 2017, Sanju Samson's 10-sixes against South Africa at Durban in the last year and Tilak Varma's 10-sixes against South Africa at Johannesburg in 2024.
  • 115 : Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma set up the second highest second-wicket partnership for India against England in T20 international, The highest is 123-run stand between Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul at Manchester in 2018 and the India's seventh highest second-wicket stand in T20Is.
  • Phil Salt hammered a 21-ball his second fastest fifty for India in T20 international and the fastest fifty by an Indian batsman against England in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 23-ball half-century held by Jason Roy at Bristol in 2018.
  • England's 97 was their fourth lowest score in a completed innings against India in T20 international and It is their second lowest-score against India in T20Is after their lowest total of 80 at Colombo (RPS) in the 2012 World Twenty20.
  • England's 97 was their lowest total in a completed innings in India in T20 international, previous lowest was 127 also against India at Bengaluru in 2017.

India scored mammoth total of 247-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Abhishek Sharma hammered a 135 off 54-balls - which was his 2nd T20I hundred and his first century against England in T20Is.

Shivam Dube blasted a 30 off 13-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 230.76, Tilak Varma struck 24 off 15-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 160.

Sanju Samson hit 16 off 7-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 228.57 and Axar Patel scored 15 off 11-balls contained two boundaries.

England best bowler by Brydon Carse picked up 3-wickets for 38-runs in 4-overs, Mark Wood captured 2-wickets, Adil Rashid, Jamie Overton and Jofra Archer each took one-wickets.

England bundled out for 97 in 10.3 overs with top scorer by Phil Salt hammered a 55 off 23-balls including 7-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 239.13.

Jacob Bethell scored 10 off 7-balls including a six, Liam Livingstone hit 9 off 5-balls contained 2-fours and Jos Buttler scored a run-a-ball 7-runs included a boundary.

Abhishek Sharma named Player of the match for his record-breaking power-hitting batting performance to smashed a career-best 135 off facing 54-balls including 13-sixes and 7-fours with strike rate of 250.

Varun Chakravarthy earned player of the series for claiming 14 wickets in the five-match series.
