Will Young, Tom Latham's centuries and Glenn Phillips' whirlwind 39-ball 61 sets up to New Zealand thumping 60-run victory over hosts Pakistan in the opening match of a ICC Champions Trophy.

New Zealand scored massive total of 320-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Tom Latham blasted a unbeaten 118 off 104-balls - which was his 8th ODI hundred and his first century against Pakistan in ODIs.

Will Young cracked a 107 off 113-balls - which was his 4th ODI and his first century against Pakistan in ODIs - including 12-fours & a six.

Glenn Phillips hammered a 61 off 39-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 156.41, Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell each scored 10-runs.

Pakistan best bowler by Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf both took 2-wickets and one for Abrar Ahmed.

Pakistan bowled out for 260 in 47.2 overs with top scorer by Khushdil Shah blasted a 69 off 49-balls including 10-fours & a six with strike rate of 140.81.

Babar Azam cracked a 64 off 90-balls including 6-fours & a six, Salman Agha hammered a 42 off 28-balls included 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 150.

Fakhar Zaman scored 24 off 41-balls including 4-fours and Haris Rauf blasted a 19 off 10-balls contained 3-sixes with strike rate of 190.

New Zealand best bowler by Will O’Rourke picked up 3-wickets for 47-runs in 9-overs, Mitchell Santner captured three-wickets, Matt Henry took 2-wickets and one for Nathan Smith - Michael Bracewell.

Tom Latham named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a unbeaten 118-runs knocked off facing 104-balls including 10-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 113.46.
