A maiden ODI century by Salman Agha's career-best 134 and captain Mohammad Rizwan's superb unbeaten 122 leads to Pakistan chased their record-breaking target of 353 against South Africa by a 6-wickets and qualify for the finals in a high-scoring game of the third match of a Tri-Nation series.

  • Pakistan chased 353 was their highest successful run-chase in One-day international cricket history, previous highest chase was 349 against Australia at Lahore in 2022.
  • South Africa's 352 was their second highest score against Pakistan in One-day international after their 392 at Centurion in 2007 and It is their highest total in Pakistan in ODIs, previous highest was 328 against Netherlands at Rawalpindi in the 1996 Wills World Cup.
  • 119 : Temba Bavuma and Matthew Breetzke set up the fifth highest second-wicket partnership for South Africa against Pakistan in ODIs.
  • 260 : Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha set up the record fourth-wicket partnership for Pakistan in One-day international cricket history, previously held by the 206-run stand between Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Yousuf against India at Centurion in the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy and the second fourth-wicket stand in ODIs, The highest is unbeaten 275-run stand between Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja against Zimbabwe at Cuttack in 1998.
  • 260 : Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha set up the record any-wicket partnership for Pakistan against South Africa in One-day international, previously held by the 257-run stand between Saleem Elahi and Abdul Razzaq at Port Elizabeth in 2002 and the Pakistan's third highest any-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • This is the 27th instance of Pakistan's two batsmen were scores of centuries or more runs in their innings in One-day international and It is their second such instance against South Africa in ODIs. The only other such instance came against South Africa at Port Elizabeth in 2002.
  • Salman Agha's 134 was his highest score for Pakistan in One-day international and the third highest-score by an Pakistan batsman against South Africa in ODIs.
  • Mohammad Rizwan's unbeaten 122 was his second highest score for Pakistan in One-day international and the fourth highest-score by an Pakistan batsman against South Africa in ODIs.

* The Tri-Nation series final will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand at Karachi on 14th February 2025.

South Africa scored 352-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Heinrich Klaasen hammered a 87 off 56-balls including 11-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 155.35.

Matthew Breetzke cracked a 83 off 84-balls including 10-fours & a six, Temba Bavuma hit 82 off 96-balls including 13-fours, Kyle Verreynne blasted a unbeaten 44 off 32-balls contained 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 137.50, 

Tony de Zorzi scored 22 off 18-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 122.22 and Corbin Bosch blasted a unbeaten 15 off 9-balls contained one-six & a four with strike-rate of 166.66.

Pakistan best bowler by Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2-wickets and one for Khushdil Shah - Naseem Shah.

Pakistan chased 355-4 in 49 overs with top scorer by Salman Agha hammered a career-best 134 off 103-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred.

Mohammad Rizwan cracked a unbeaten 122 off 128-balls - which was his 4th ODI hundred and his first century against South Africa in ODIs - including 9-fours & 3-sixes.

Fakhar Zaman hammered a 41 off 28-balls including 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 146.42, Babar Azam hit 23 off 19-balls contained 4-fours and Saud Shakeel scored 15 off 16-balls included 2-fours.

South Africa best bowler by Wiaan Mulder took 2-wickets and one for Corbin Bosch - Lungi Ngidi.

Salman Agha named Player of the match for his match-winning career-best 134 off facing 103-balls including 16-fours & 2-sixes with 130.09.
