Ryan Rickelton's maiden ODI century, Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen's fifties before Bowlers shine as South Africa comprehensive 107-run victory over Afghanistan, despite a Rahmat Shah's fighting 90 in the third match of a ICC Champions Trophy.

South Africa's 107-run win was their third largest victory by terms of runs in Champions Trophy. Ryan Rickelton became the first South African batsman to score a century against Afghanistan in ODI cricket history. Ryan Rickelton became the fifth South African batsman to score a hundred in Champions Trophy. Ryan Rickelton's 103 was his highest score for South Africa in One-day international and the highest-score by an South African batsman against Afghanistan in ODIs, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 76 held by Rassie van der Dussen at Ahmedabad in the 2023 World Cup. South Africa's 315 was their highest score against Afghanistan in One-day international, previous highest was 247 at Ahmedabad in the 2023 World Cup and It is their second highest total in the Champions Trophy after their 316 against Kenya at (Colombo RPS) in the 2002 Champions Trophy. This is the 16th instance of South Africa's four batsmen were scores of fifty or more runs in their innings in One-day international, it is their first instance against Afghanistan in ODIs, This is the South Africa's first such instance in Champions Trophy and overall second such instance in Champions Trophy after India's four batsman hit 50 or more runs in their innings against Pakistan in the 2017 Champions Trophy. Afghanistan's 208 was their third lowest score in a completed innings against South Africa in ODIs.

South Africa scored massive total of 315-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Ryan Rickelton hit a career-best 103 off 106-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred.

Temba Bavuma cracked a 58 off 76-balls including 5-fours, Aiden Markram blasted a unbeaten 52 off 36-balls included 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 144.44.

Rassie van der Dussen struck 52 off 46-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 113.04, David Miller scored 14 off 18-balls included a boundary and Wiaan Mulder hit a unbeaten 12 off 6-balls contained one-six & a four with strike-rate of 200.

Afghanistan best bowler by Mohammad Nabi captured 2-wickets, Azmatullah Omarzai, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Noor Ahmad each took one-wickets.

Afghanistan bowled out for 208 in 43.3 overs with top scorer by Rahmat Shah struck 90 off 92-balls - who fell ten-run short of his century - including 9-fours & a six.

Rashid Khan hit 18 off 13-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 138.46, Azmatullah Omarzai scored 18 off 27-balls included three-fours, Ibrahim Zadran 17 and Sediqullah Atal 16.

South Africa best bowler by Kagiso Rabada picked up 3-wickets for 36-runs in 8.3-overs, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi both took 2-wickets and one for Marco Jansen - Keshav Maharaj.

Ryan Rickelton named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to scored a career-best 103-runs knocked off facing 106-balls including 7-fours & a six.
