Brilliant Brian Bennett's career-best 169 and Craig Ervine's fifty before Blessing Muzarabani's four-for, Richard Ngarava and Wesley Madhevere's combined 5-wickets helped to Zimbabwe crushing 49-run victory over Ireland and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.
Zimbabwe scored 299-5 in 50 overs with top scorer by Brian Bennett blasted a career-best 169 off 163-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred.
Craig Ervine cracked a 66 off 61-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours and Ben Curran scored 28 off 44-balls included 3-fours.
Ireland best bowler by Mark Adair captured two-wickets, Andy McBrine, Graham Hume and Josh Little each took one-wickets.
Ireland bowled out for 250 in 46 overs with top scorer by Curtis Campher cracked a 44 off 57-balls including 5-fours.
Harry Tector scored 39 off 78-balls including a boundary, George Dockrell hit 34 off 35-balls included one-six & a four.
Paul Stirling blasted a 32 off 28-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 114.28, Andy McBrine cracked a run-a-ball 32-runs included 4-fours and Lorcan Tucker scored 31 off 38-balls contained 4-fours.
Zimbabwe best bowler by Blessing Muzarabani claimed a 4-wickets for 51-runs in 9-overs, Richard Ngarava picked up 3-wickets, Wesley Madhevere took 2-wickets and one for Sikandar Raza.
Brian Bennett named Player of the match for his brilliant batting performance to smashed a career-best 169-runs knocked off facing 163-balls including 20-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 103.68.
